How can I purchase your pieces?
Ready to ship pieces can be bought directly through my wesbite. Commissions can be ordered here.
Who makes your pieces?
All of the pieces on my website are designed, knit, washed, packaged and shipped by me, Annie. I work from my home studio, just south of Manchester in the UK.
Do you sell knitting patterns?
Yes, the Peony Vest pattern is available at anniesews.co.uk and Ravelry, and the Sailor Slippers pattern is currently in testing, set to release early/mid October!
Where do you ship to?
I ship internationally, with the exception of the EU and Northern Ireland due to changes in GPSR rulings. I'm hoping to figure this out in the future so i can carry on shipping to these regions.
For US customers, a 10% fee will be added to the price of your commission due to recent tariff changes. I buy postage through a service called Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) with Royal Mail, where the tariffs are paid for in advance so you do not incur any additional duties costs at your end (state sales tax may still apply). Please note that I can currently only ship to the US if purchasing a commission - if you would like to purchase a ready-to-ship piece, please get in touch!
Customs fees may be charged for orders outside of the UK, please check with your local customs office for more info - this is the responsibility of the buyer.
When will my order be dispatched and when can I expect to receive it?
Ready to ship orders are typically sent out within 3 working days. If you require your order by a certain date please leave a note at the checkout and I will do my best to accomodate. All orders are sent tracked through Royal Mail. UK Tracked 48 takes 2-3 days and International Tracked takes approx. 5-10 days. Express shipping upgrades are available at checkout.
I am not responsible for an item once it has been shipped and a tracking number has been provided.
Do you accept commissions?
I do, but please keep in mind that the commission waitlist only opens a couple of times per year! For more information regarding custom pieces, head over to the commissions page here.
How often do you list new pieces?
I release new pieces as and when they are finished - as a result of that, I don't have specific dates when new items become available. I do, however, post on Instagram when a new piece is listed on my site.
How are your pieces sized?
The pieces I make are one-of-a-kind and freehanded so therefore may not always correspond to standard sizing. Items may be worn on different sizes depending on desired fit. Please see individual item descriptions for specific measurements and get in touch if you have any questions.
How should I care for my new piece?
There will be a physical copy of the care instructions included in your order. If this has been misplaced, follow the instructions below:
If you item needs a refresh in between wears, simply let it air out! Items should only be washed if they are soiled.
Handwash in lukewarm or cool water using a small amount of gentle detergent (I recommend Soak Laundry Soap). Do not use fabric softener and avoid agitating the fibres too much, rinse if required.
After washing, either squeeze the item by hand (do not wring!) or roll the item in a towel and stand on it to remove excess water. Reshape when damp and always air dry flat to avoid stretching. Your piece will likely take a few days to dry - a hairdryer on a cool setting (or very carefully on low heat) can be used to speed up the process.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
I am unfortunately unable to accept returns or exchanges. Please note that all of my products are handmade so small imperfections can be expected. If an item is faulty or damaged please do get in touch via the contact form, email or message me on Instagram.
